Looking for a web design or Shopify agency in Germany?
Then here is the honest version: I am not an agency. I am one developer near Osnabrück, and for most of what an agency would quote you, that is the cheaper and faster route. You brief the person who builds. Nothing gets lost between an account manager, a designer and a developer, because there is only one of each and they are the same person.
Where an agency genuinely wins: round-the-clock support, five people working your project in parallel, or a rebrand that needs a strategy team. If that is your situation, I will say so on the first call and point you to agencies in my network rather than stretch to fit.
What I bring instead is depth in one place. I ran the Shopify store-building department at one of Germany’s stronger SEO agencies before going independent, so the SEO side is not something I outsource or bolt on afterwards — it is how the store gets built in the first place.
Questions people actually ask
Do you work entirely in English?
Yes — calls, email, documentation and handover. I speak German, English and Spanish fluently, so we use whichever is easiest for you. The website itself can be in any of those languages, or several at once.
What does a website cost?
Smaller Astro company sites start at €1,500 net. Larger brand or magazine sites with a CMS typically run €3,500–8,000. Shopify stores start around €4,000 depending on product count, languages and integrations. You always get a fixed price before the project starts.
How long does it take?
A straightforward Astro company site is usually 2–4 weeks. Larger sites with custom design and a CMS take 4–6 weeks. Shopify stores with product import and multi-language setup run 6–10 weeks. Express projects are possible — I have delivered a complete site, domain, hosting and Google profile in 10 working days.
Do you work with clients outside the Osnabrück area?
Yes, anywhere in Germany and beyond. Local clients often prefer meeting in person, but nothing about building a website requires it. Remote projects run over video calls, email and WhatsApp. Several of my Shopify stores serve the Swiss market.
How much Shopify experience do you actually have?
I ran the Shopify store-building department at one of Germany’s stronger SEO agencies before going independent, then spent over three years building and optimising stores on my own. That includes multi-language setups, B2B pricing and migrations from WordPress with proper 301 mapping so rankings survive the move. Ten-plus stores are live today, several serving the Swiss market.
Can I edit the site myself afterwards?
Yes. For Astro projects I can set up Keystatic CMS — free, Markdown based, running in your own GitHub repository. Shopify has its backend anyway. You get a walkthrough and a short written guide at handover.
What happens if I want to leave later?
The domain is in your name, hosting is on your account, and for Astro projects the code sits in your GitHub repository. You are never locked in. If you move to someone else I hand over cleanly and answer their questions. That is professional courtesy, not generosity.
Do you do WordPress?
Not for new projects — the stack is not a good choice in 2026 for what I build. For existing WordPress sites I do SEO work and migrations to modern stacks. If you specifically want to stay on WordPress, I will recommend specialists from my network instead.
